Huawei Ascend P6 Android Smartphone Review, good and especially beautiful

Ascend P6
Huawei is now working to convert. Their own smartphone line in the market about a year after a cautious start with the Huawei Ascend P1 and P2 and the large Mate Huawei, the Chinese company presented the Ascend P6 on 18 June, a device that in design rightfully inherited. The title of 'flagship'

Huawei
when the company was launched in the Netherlands has been first acquainted with the name of the Dutch public knowledge and especially how it should be pronounced.
Besides the name, some consumers the fact that a Chinese company is also well be experienced as negative. What way is not always justified because many of the products that we use come from China, but wearing a Western brand.

But the products we need not worry because the Huawei Ascend P6 promises at first sight very much good for the smartphone market. We have tested this unit a period and came to the following review.

Design
Jumps to the previous models are not really matter when it comes to design, so does the Ascend P6 though. When Richard Yu the phone finally unveiled at the press conference in London, had the attendees have in mind that this should be. A special device this unit has the same form factor as the previous devices, but the power and finish are much better.

The Huawei Ascend P6 has pretty sharp shapes with rounded corners; the buttons are much hidden in the metal edge that runs around the device. Those metal edges will many may be reminiscent of the iPhone 5 and that is not a crazy idea. The screen is very nice in the cabinet and put the glass above it runs nicely on the bottom of the rounded bottom.

The back is made of roughened glass, which allows for a good grip and feels soft. Unfortunately, the back not completely unscathed from the fight, because after a week of use I still do see light scratches in the material.

The camera with flash unit are positioned on the left side and the logo is found in the middle. At the bottom we see a speaker grid where the Dolby Surround sound should come out. On the side we find a little surprise because there is the headphone jack and it is covered with a nice button. When this button unplugging it appears to be one that allows you to open. The SD card and the microSIM card tabs 'pin' Chances are you this 'pin' explains away right after the first time, but fun up.

If I had to sum up in one word the design of this unit than that anyway: tight. I have rarely seen such a smooth finishing device that feels like you have an attractive, high in hands.

Specifications
Huawei because a very large company, and if a lot of experience in the field of smart phones, they can develop many in-house. So Huawei for its chipset is not dependent on one supplier, but they just produce the engine of this unit, to be in the (private) company Hisilicon precise. This chipset is based on the 1.5 GHz quad-core ARM Cortex-A9 and are doing excellent work in the Huawei Ascend P6.

A good way to test a smartphone 'performance' is a benchmark test. We used the AnTuTu program and the Huawei Ascend P6 has a score of just over 13,000 points.

With this score the Ascend P6 not defeat the top of the world, but it nestles behind in the top 10. Scores are fine to analyze how the technique does its job, but the experience in daily use is just as important. I have personally experienced no difference when I took my Nexus 4 back into use after the Ascend P6.

Display
The device features a 4.7-inch display with 720p resolution. The viewing angle of this unit is great and that's nice when others want to see which notification is now coming back to you. Watch or with one eye
the colors are honest and you can compare the colors you see on the Sony Xperia Z No accentuated and lavish colors, such as, the Samsung devices.

Software
I'm not a fan of skins, whether it be that of Samsung or Huawei. The Emotion UI, such as the skin called Huawei, will soon get an update to 2.0. It is used when you first see the Emotion UI apptray has not, so you can not press a button to go. Apps The apps are positioned on all home screens and you can get them into groups such as Huawei has done with Google Apps. Advance for your

Naturally get used to, but find it a bit messy and it will cost you quite a lot of work to keep everything tidy to clean up. For those who use a lot of widgets is certainly a big disadvantage, because there is little room for initially.

You can Emotion UI fully customize to your taste as there are on the one installed by default. Online hundreds of different variations knock you out. As between the pre-installed applications is not much special to find who they can leave. Away from me you can add the shortcuts at the top of your notification panel adjust as with the UI include Sony and Emotion UI profiles for different situations. There you can no times or locations and will adhere to so you have to. They themselves Huawei has been inclined to winter, because you can activate the 'gloves' mode which you can even control the screen. Ascend P6 with gloves in settings as with any interface you will get used to the Huawei Emotion UI. Luckily the Google Play Store enough apps and the like also this phone you completely own.

Camera and Video
For the back camera Huawei does not participate in the craze of increasing mega pixels. The camera takes pictures are neat with an 8 mega pixel camera and let's face it, how much more do you need. A special feature is the 4 cm macro view; this feature allows you to object to 4 inches from the lens to get. Still sharp in the picture the camera on the front is a different story, Huawei has something special done with it here.
Where competition is usually no more than 2 mega pixels in the camera stops, Huawei has a 5 mega pixel sensor from the shelves and put in the camera. When you (pictures of yourself) see the large amount of 'selfies' that are currently posted on Facebook and Twitter it is not even such a bad idea. In addition, we are also increasingly video calling and a better camera will help you there too.

The interface of the camera and video is fine, you can easily switch between video and still camera, and there are plenty of settings from the menu that you can achieve. In the settings you can select which types of tools and help you to make. Better picture below are some examples of the Huawei Ascend P6 photo and video.

ASUS Fonepad Android Tab 7 inch user review

Android Tab 7 inch
We have found three people prepared extensively to test the ASUS Fonepad here is tested in the first part how the ASUS Fonepad functions as smartphone and tablet replacement. In the second part, each has its own specific mission inherited. Read the experiences.

1. as a father (future?) You surely want to capture all the beautiful moment, how does it work with the Fonepad?

Hereby I had as a young father discuss how the Fonepad complies with regard to the camera, the screen and the ASUS software. I've looked, but I also want to use to get a superfan.

Dropbox filled with all the pictures of the newborn boy. The most beautiful photos made available online through vvan 'folder sync. A few minutes clicking ASUS Story app to create a slick photo album and we were ready to go. Grandparents for the first visit

The ASUS Story app works really well. You can quickly create a photo album by ticking in different folders the photos. After you have the choice to show it. Every 1, 2, 3, 4 or any other number using swipe as you go through all the photos to show them. This is very intuitive and has the advantage that you do not have to watch as someone else browsing your gallery go if he does not end up in other pictures. I have so different 'albums' made for different 'groups', family, friends, and colleagues.

When grandparents were first viewed the small and then had the Fonepad was to go. Grandma had him quickly and was about to click to find the pictures of the little man. On appointment, the story app open and then they hit themselves on the "family" button. Together with grandpa she began to take all the photos by and found everything just as beautiful. Eventually the opinion that we had a cloud of a son and that he's already doing great and is photogenic.

The Fonepad remained in the hands of grandma and I let her have her way. After just half an hour sweet and had not looked at or they got up and started the little man all the way to photograph and made short movies with Fonepad. She sat back and let me see a little later proudly made a new album in the story-app. And she went on again. Grandpa sat with the little guy to play and grandmother sat in the Fonepad, cozy about visiting your parents where you have to get the coffee yourself!

The judgment of grandmother was that she no longer wanted to give the Fonepad and that I should make sure that every day new pictures came, she would record. Myself in the correct album I was stunned and thought, but then maybe I could bridge a generation gap here and my parents the digital age I could draw more. After I removed the SIM card out (and its there) we are back on home made and even before we got home I got a whatsapp of my mother! It turned out my brother with the text: "What have you done! Is fond of all your photos. Your brother '.

A week later they came to visit us and had the grandmother Fonepad with him. I asked how it went along and she was very proud of her 'tablet'. I had to watch all the new album. She indicated that the camera was not too good, but worked fine for nice pictures. The screen she found in bright indoor use, but with a short demo of the 'outdoor' button and the automatic brightness across the screen, she was also very satisfied. And they said you could tell that this was a top high-definition screen!

In short I lost my Fonepad to my mother and who has the Fonepad always around her grandson, and now also countless other things, to let everyone see in her handbag through the ASUS Story app. She loves the camera and the screen moderately great.

Thanks for letting us use the ASUS Fonepad!
2. What are your experiences with the Fonepad during lectures, study and relax?
My second assignment with the Asus Fonepad is about my eraringen with the unit during lectures, study and relaxes. For this assignment I have my Asus Transformer TF300 one week replaced by Fonepad.

During lectures
during lessons I used mainly made of the PDF reader and the included Super Note app. Courses that were available in PDF on the Fonepad I could follow as during class without that much to thick stack of paper. Besides I used Super Note for my notes, with it you can make written notes or drawings with ordinary typed notes. To have turn out to be there. Many benefits after one week Fonepad in class You make your notes and with an app like Dropbox, these readily available on all your other devices and you can also easily share them with others.

Study
Course, these lessons also studied and also there is the Fonepad a useful addition, you have all your courses, notes and other documents at your fingertips.

Relax
besides the study is definitely needed relaxation and this can very well with the Fonepad. Watch movies, play games, internet, all go very well on this tablet. Through its HD screen he gives the films very good and sharp again, and the 7 inch screen is then the ideal size to keep games in hand. For heavier games is the Fonepad then again not really fit the single-core Intel chip.

Conclusion
after having a week the ASUS Fonepad used during lessons are my experiences with the device very well. The included apps are very useful during lessons and study right is therefore also a very good device for relaxation. The 7-inch size is also convenient to take anywhere and the small folding tables in the auditorium.

3. How does Fonepad in your profession? He can take a beating?
Way as the truck driver is Fonepad pleased me very well. Have a navigation app installed and am really impressed with the GPS! High-speed connections (except in tunnels) never disappeared; I can not beat my Note2 absolutely! Fine format anyway, the 7-inch screen navigation system!

It is monotonous but also the 3G connections were very good, the usual way-opened apps quickly and easily. The connection with the, in my truck, Bluetooth radio went so smoothly hands free mode was no problem. Since my employer hires technical installations to customers throughout the country, it is also my job to spot. Damages, defects and problems related to note and pass to be repaired. The 3 megapixel camera conforms well before, and what a relief to turn to the relevant departments! These emails using the much larger 7 inch screen

LG Optimus L3 II small Android smartphone Review

small Android smartphone
Small price, small Android smartphone - the LG Optimus L3 II is aimed at absolute beginners. The Mini-phone scores with strong battery performance and current version of Android, but it has significant weaknesses. What you have to make compromises in detail, you will learn in our test.

The LG Optimus L3 II, as was its predecessor, the smallest model in the new L-generation. Thus, the manufacturer can offer the smartphone for a price of just 130 euros, according to EIA, it attacks only cost components, so the device must be content with little power itself. The street price for the smartphone is currently even at just 80 euros.

Handling and display: Blurred and smudged screen
the display has not been increased compared to the first Optimus L3. It also measures 3.2 inches in diagonal. Here, the screen displays a low resolution of 240 x 320 pixels. All content is blurred and pixilated. A website in the desktop view is not read because the display area is much too small. Also see fonts on web pages of blurry and out of focus. We can sometimes barely look at the screen and read texts, probably because it does not get our eyes. Also bears the blame because the low contrast of the display.

The case of the Optimus L3 II is made entirely of plastic. The processing is ok, because we can not find any major gaps or annoying noise. Only when we turn the unit slightly, the plastic creaks. Moreover, the surface is smooth and slippery, making the smartphone case offers little grip.

Sony Xperia Z Reviews

Sony with the Sony Xperia Z has taken the lead in the 5-inch movement in the coming months the market will flood. We have previously viewed this unit on the eve of the CES where it was announced and then we were pleasantly surprised with the progress that Sony has made the Xperia Z.

Design
Sony is for devices where the design an important role. Where other smartphone sometimes a lot alike, gives you a Sony device like this. Maybe that's also a bit the Achilles heel of the brand, not everyone agrees with the design choices that Sony makes
Sony Xperia Z

The Sony Xperia Z is at first sight a little less exuberantly designed than its predecessors in the series as the Xperia NXT P. In Z we find no different materials and we have not the transparent border on the bottom. What we do have is a nice rectangular device on the front almost completely from the screen is a relatively narrow bezel and on-screen buttons. The screen is located in the metal housing which there is a gap between the screen and the cabinet, and there may come into junk. The back is completely smooth and of a high quality plastic and definitely nicer than the plastic we encounter on Samsung phones in the middle is tastefully Xperia name and at the top of the camera and flash.

Around we find the various buttons and all connections are hidden behind covers that you should open your nail picking. Such a cover is not handy but in this case unavoidable because the Xperia S is in fact completely waterproof, at least if you have the valves shut. The lower right corner still has a lanyard ring where you can hang on, I'm no longer met for years doing that, but it can!

And then there's the big button on the left. For some it is a big pimple and the other a sparkling diamond and I belong to the latter group. I think it's daring but very cool and it ensures that the Sony Xperia Z is distinguished from others. Another advantage is that you faster the on / off button takes you to an ordinary flat controls on the side.

Waterproof
Sony already has a device that is waterproof and that trick they have on the Xperia Z applied. They chose the unit of tabs to provide at any place where a jack. Perhaps the best way to get something waterproof, but on the other hand also very annoying. Every time you open a cover to pry him to charge or connect your headset.

But the consideration for this effort you need to do is a device that you do not have to throw away when you see him once in the toilet dropped or when you're drunk head in the pool gets.

Specifications
this flagship model has a 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro chipset for the underlying with 2 GB of RAM. The internal memory is 16 GB but you can expand with MicroSD card. The Xperia Z runs on Android 4.1 and is wonderfully fast.

Display
The Sony Xperia Z is equipped with an "ultra-clear high-definition Reality Display" with a full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. This image specification provides more text on your screen when you visit a website and a harder-white display. Personally I am a fan of the color display on this screen, the colors where others sometimes 'to' want to put the Xperia Z remains close to nature. This is also due to the Bravia Engine 2 which automatically optimizes the picture taken in terms of sharpness and colors. The screen of the Xperia Z has a 443 pixels-per-inch, and you can see that when the sharp photos you can take with this unit looks on your screen.

Not everyone has to speak when it comes to the screen of the Xperia Z is, as has been criticized on the viewing angle and the display. Of course some things very personally, as the experience of the colors on the screen.

Photo and Video
The Sony Xperia Z is equipped with a camera on the back of 13 megapixels, you can see that fact is not reflected in the institutions because there he goes up to 12 megapixels. Before you can use the camera you have to have patience because more than half of the time that you start the camera you have quite a long wait. It seems that there is considerable 'lag' in it and that can be annoying if you want to shoot a quick picture. The camera application is loaded with features like filters and a burst mode. It is up to you to see what you think of that use.

For video you will not separate to boot, the record sits next to the button for the camera. During filming I noticed is that the camera was jerky when I moved from left to right. During filming, you can also take a picture by simply pressing the camera button. The results of the camera you can see below.

Software
Sony also uses its own shell on the Android Devices. I am pleased that the adaptations of Sony are not very thorough, but in appearance but activates example Google Now in the same way as on the Nexus devices. More important are the applications that Sony itself has made and supplied to the unit. For example, there the Album application where you pinch (pinch to zoom) very simple example, the order of the pictures change.
Furthermore, Sony has installed apps such as Walkman and Films and Sony Select for applications.

SmartConnect is a unique application that can connect to different events. When you power on the charging cradle you can use this app by setting it on vibrate for example the sound goes. I have created a setting for the drive when I connect to the Bluetooth car kit puts the sound. It goes so far that you make automatically a Facebook or SMS can be sending to someone when you're in the car.

Energy efficient with the Stamina application
a large screen consumes more energy than a smaller screen, logical. The Sony Xperia Z has a 5-inch Full HD screen, which consumes a lot of energy. To the user it a whole day with his phone to operate Sony has an additional option in the settings put. When in the institutions 'power' you can select a number of measures to save energy and the most important is the Stamina mode. This setting assumes that when you are not using it you do not need to receive any notifications, so when the screen is off, the Stamina mode makes sure that no data is retrieved. You also have the option of several apps to exclude from this mode so you always can receive.

Unfortunately, the battery suddenly two days when the Stamina mode is activated. The first 48 hours the battery is very fast empty, then stabilized and that I could (in Stamina mode) a whole day with my device do. During that day I normally use the phone, call, send messages, but I have not navigated.

Conclusion
Sony with the Sony Xperia Z dealt with his past, they finally have a device on the shelves which is at least equal to the competition. In the preceding aircraft was mainly the processor at the exit of the model already obsolete, in the case of the Xperia Z is not so. The 5 inch screen is large, but the device is not much bigger than what we usually use. You notice it, because you are not as easy thumb reach the other side of the screen.

Starting up the camera often takes too long and that is something they have to adapt in an update in the coming time. The Xperia Z is packed with additional software from Sony, it is up to the user to use it or not. But the Walkman application is very good example to use. Are you looking for a great phone and the Samsung Galaxy Note just too big then you should definitely consider the Sony Xperia Z look.

Huawei Ascend P1 Android Smartphone Review

Huawei Ascend P1 Android Smartphone
Huawei Ascend P1 does with a decent first attempt to the smartphone market. The device is thin but firm, performs well and runs a virtually untouched version of Android.

The biggest problem is the price: P1 will appear at a suggested retail price . For the same money - or less - you have devices that are in many respects better, like the Sony Xperia S, the Samsung Galaxy S II or Google's own Galaxy Nexus. In addition, Huawei for the average consumer is a new brand, which still needs to win confidence. The company would probably attract more buyers over as the prices which were more reasonable.

Also appears in two months Ascend D Quad, which is not only a larger screen with a higher resolution will, but also a brand new processor that Huawei has developed itself: the K3V2-quadcore.

The Ascend P1 is thus primarily a beautiful promise, but Huawei will have to make the device cheaper than the direct competitors to make an attractive alternative to.

Pros:
+ Fast software
+ Battery life is good
+ Material feels good

Cons:
- Price is too high compared to competition
- Screen does under competition

ASUS Nexus 7 Review: Tablet with Android Jelly bean

ASUS Nexus 7
The fans of Android tablets, there are probably quite a while to wait: the Nexus 7 from ASUS and Google, the first Android tablet with the new operating system Jelly bean (Android 4.1). We got to work with the Nexus 7 to see how the new tablet rid of it brings.

With the Nexus 7 differs from the ASUS own course when it comes to Android tablets. This is an 'ordinary' tablet, so without a dock. Furthermore, it is a model with a diameter of 7 inches, a format that is ASUS still has not previously been produced. ASUS tablet has not only created, but has done with Google itself. Hence, on the back both the name of the manufacturer (ASUS) and Google typing Nexus is found. About a month ago at Google I / O was the first tablet by Google officially shown to the outside world. The name "Nexus" means that we are dealing with the first tablet version of this line, which also includes the Nexus S smartphone and the Samsung Galaxy Nexus.

Google seems the Nexus lines have devised new operating systems on a partially controlled by them communicated to the public to imagine. Where the Nexus S was the first smartphone that Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) operating system, was the first Galaxy Nexus with Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). For the launch of version 4.1 of Android, also known as Jellybean, Google has not opted for a smartphone, but for a tablet. Jelly Bean is also now no longer exclusively seen on the Nexus 7. Other devices have already received the update. The Samsung Galaxy Nexus and the Motorola Xoom hear traditional with the devices soon be equipped with a new operating system and that the update is already available for.

It is now clear that the ASUS tablet from September will sell. In contrast to U.S., it will only be in the Netherlands, the 16GB-model to be made and will thus be omitted of the model with 8 GB of internal storage. The price for the 16GB model that ASUS in the European market will bring is not officially announced, but if we have the dollar sign at the American price replaced by a dollar sign, where it often just comes down to, we arrive at a price of 250 euros. All this for a 7-inch tablet with IPS panel, quad-core Tegra 3 (T30L) and the latest operating system (Jelly Bean). That sounds excellent and we look like something better.

Galaxy Note 10.1 with Android 4.0.4 ICS Review

Samsung Galaxy S3: Benchmark Battery Review

Benchmark Battery
The brand new "Galaxy S3" is available for only a few days of trading, and has managed to convince the user from the start. It also has a new battery no small part, because the battery of the "Galaxy S3" is, at least according to Samsung, offer significantly improved performance. A good reason, therefore, the battery of the new Samsung smartphone once to take a closer look, and compare with that of the predecessor model.

According to Samsung, the service life of batteries has been greatly improved, and various tests show that the Koreans do not promise too much so. After three and a half hours of HD video streaming over WLAN, the battery fell volume of the Galaxy S3 from 100 to at least have an impressive 60 percent. The crucial thing is that you reduce the brightness of the large 4.8-inch display simply by half. And thanks to the super-AMOLED technology, the screen is even bright enough to achieve very good results display.

The so-called Antutu benchmark test, in which the Galaxy S3 could reach a total score of 597, shows that the battery of the new Samsung phone is not only better than the predecessor model. Similarly, the direct competitors like the LG Optimus 2X or even the HTC Incredible S refers to the barriers. And while the battery during normal use of the Galaxy S2 holds only about a day, the new Samsung smartphone more than double the battery life.

If you want to achieve with his "Galaxy S3" an even higher maturity should pay attention to some things, first, one may, as already stated, reduce the display brightness. Likewise, you should make sure that the WLAN and the 3G functionality of smart phones are switched off when not needed them. Furthermore, it can not hurt, inactive applications running idle in the background, just to finish the task manager.

Advantage of Android Gingerbread

Advantage of Android Gingerbread
This is the advantage of Android Gingerbread - Google has officially introduced the Nexus S, Android phone Nexus successor. Phone made by Samsung is a specification that is very similar to the Galaxy S.

Google promised one thing, this device will always get the features and the latest software from Google. Including the operating system that would use Android 2.3 aka Gingerbread.

What are the features that should be a concern Gingerbread? Here are a few:

NFC (Near-Field Communication)

Android Tablet: Asus Transformer Pad TF300T Review

With the Transformer Pad TF300T Asus launched a slightly stripped down version of the Transformers Prime. The new tablet docking station can also be converted to using a netbook. These are, however, are not always included and must be purchased under these circumstances. The pad with the names of models and TF300TG TF300TL also support 3G LTE, respectively, so the road can be accessed via the mobile network to the Internet. This brauchts however, a SIM card mobile phone subscription. All units get updated very often in gray; blue or red

saves the manufacturer on the back of the unit, which consists not of metal but of plastic. The RAM is handsome with 1 GB of memory is 32 GB. About the Micro-SD slot storage capacity can be expanded easily.

Asus Android operating system has installed 4.0.3. The operation is intuitive and most liquid. No wonder: After all potters in the Tablet, a four-core processor on Tegra-3-base with 1.2 GHz clock frequency. Its strength is also reflected in the performance measurements. In 2012 productivity test Smart Bench achieved the unit good 3388 points in the game benchmarks, it was 2317th Thus, and the tablet is only marginally slower than the bigger brother. A little annoying: When scrolling in the browser, it comes in spite of the computing power to one or the other jerks. In addition, the Android system is one drawback: The selection of tablet-optimized apps, unlike Apple's iPad lean. Thus, for example, Swiss newspapers and magazines rarely available.

The battery life is in normal operation a little over 8 hours. That's all right. Another 5 hours to bring the docking station. The bright, 10.1-inch wide display has a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels; the viewing angle is very large. Negative but falls on the susceptibility to fingerprints.

The 8-Megapixel camera takes good photos - thanks to the large focal length. Since a flash is missing, can take pictures in low light conditions, but no usable photos.

Conclusion: Despite the low price, the Asus Transformer Pad TF300T powerful and well equipped. With the optional docking station, the tablet is also suitable for typing long texts. Too bad the selection of Tablet Apps is meager.
