Sony launches Xperia Tablet S with Tegra 3 and Android OS

Sony has announced at IFA 2012 to be held in Berlin - its new Sony Xperia Tablet S, its new commitment to the market for tablets that power of a NVIDIA Tegra 3 SoC, being also the first tablet of the company adopting Sony Xperia brand that has already been used on their Smartphone.

This tablet features a 9.4 inches display with IPS technology (1,280 x 800) and comes with Android OS 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) possibly after equalization Sony offers Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. According to Sony, the tablet has a universal remote control feature improved, with the ability to turn on multiple devices from various manufacturers, including TV, Blue-Ray players and audio systems at the touch of a button on the device.

The Xperia Tablet S also comes with a guest mode (Guest) that allows the owner of the device add custom settings for different users, with different wallpapers, apps and widgets.

Sony also announced several accessories for this tablet, including a cover with a thin keyboard that connects to the device via the multi-port. Other accessories include a docking stand, a simple base, transport cover, a charger and a dock with speakers.
