Motorola RAZR i is official with Intel Medfield and Android

Motorola RAZR i
Just a couple of weeks Motorola surprised us with its new Droid family in the United States, including the Droid RAZR HD and Droid RAZR M. However, these terminals are limited to that country from the hands of operator Verizon. But today the "Big M" surprises us with the international version of the Droid RAZR M, which is nothing less than the first Motorola smartphone with Intel Medfield.

This is the new "Motorola RAZR I" have made official today in the UK in a press event, and it does not have any Intel Medfield platform, but with a powerful Intel Atom Z2480 model with no clock less than 2.0 GHz, which is the first handset to have similar frequency.

The other features of this mobile are also enviable, highlighting a screen 4.3-inch Super AMOLED protected by Gorilla Glass, and a 2000 mAh battery to give you long life and autonomy, as promised by Moto, and the company is has made it a priority to include large batteries and technology to improve performance and energy consumption in their latest phones to address complaints from the public about all these terminals to be recharged up to twice a day.

Its primary camera is 8 MP and LED Flash, and features a 1.9 MP front. To find your chip NFC connectivity, WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0. The material that covers and protects it from Kevlar, the same he made some bulletproof vests.

However, there is a curious fact about this phone, and it will come standard with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, which seems a joke considering that Motorola Mobility is Google, and the latest version of Android is Jelly Bean. They promise "soon" will be updated and optimized for the Intel (guilty of not having Jelly Bean from birth).

It will be available in the UK, Germany, France, Argentina, Brazil and Mexico for the month of October.

Motorola HMC3260: New PC With Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread

Motorola HMC3260: New PC With Android
It is not new that manufacturers try to extend the territory of Android devices with innovative, well this is the case with Motorola who has introduced a new "computer" with Android as the primary platform.

Lapdock is the popular name that has been assigned to this terminal, a cross between tablet and laptop that includes Android operating system. While at first glance we may be somewhat familiar to Apple computers, and more for their classic shades of colors, it is a terminal (and apparently last) that offers the functionality of an economic computer.

Codenamed Motorola HMC3260, the new Motorola Lapdock has an LED screen 18.5-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 1366 × 768 pixels. As for internals, we must be provided with a ARM Cortex A8 processor dual core 1 GHz and only 1GB of RAM, compared to the new terminal could say it falls short.

Regarding internal storage we have only has 4 GB of memory, of course expandable via microSD cards. Regarding the version of Android built also leaves much to be desired as it incorporates a platform Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread (Ice Cream Sandwich many expected at least).

The truth is that if a terminal is attractive but that leaves many gaps unfilled, specifically because their goal is to meet the needs of a laptop as their specs are not even comparable to those of the most powerful tablets Android market: Nexus 7 and Kindle Fire HD.

Still, it is certainly a good choice as it certainly presents his design approach "all-in-one" and we can expect that at least independent developers (we quote CyanogenMod, for example) can lead even to complement a Jelly Bean little details of this device.

As final details, we have no price or release date for the new Motorola Lapdock so we will look at what's coming around this attractive terminal.
