Android goes into the kitchen

Android goes into the kitchen
After smartphone and tablets, there is now an oven that runs on Android.

I should have known but it takes me a bit I soon -- may also be concerned about furnaces. Then it is not so much about the liter capacity of the furnace but especially on processors, memory, and operating system.

Dacor Oven Manufacturer has namely launched the first Android-oven at CES. This oven has a 1GHz processor on board, 512 mb of RAM, runs on Android 4.0.3 and has a 7 inch touchscreen. So you can while cooking your Facebook messages tracking, a YouTube video watching and of course your mom Skype.

The Discovery IQ kookapp must ensure that all your cakes and dishes perfectly and never burned out of the oven. The app has a series of pre-programmed recipes oven built. You choose for example a lamb, gives the weight and the oven calculates the cooking time. Your morning the lamb in the oven, but you forget to turn on the timer, you can later in the day remotely turn on the furnace via a smartphone app. Fortunately you can during baking also went with confidence to the neighbors to visit. Once the meal is ready, you will receive a message on your smartphone.

What more could you want from a furnace? Perhaps a little lighter price tag. A single Dacor Android furnace costs nearly 3500 euros and a biplane over 5700 euros. That's a lot for an oven that is not even on Android Jellybean running.
