Oovoo has quickly become a very successful video chat application. The free version puts Skype into the crown. Big plus is the support for video chats. The emphasis in the new apps there is therefore: you can now chat with 12 people at once. Now the question is whether you ever do that for private use. The feature is probably mainly for the competition to impress and attract customers (remember the megapixel race with digital cameras).
Oovoo is available across platforms. The chat feature is available to everyone, though the iOS version limited to viewing four streams simultaneously, due to the smaller screen size. Recording video chat is now available in the free version available so you can chat directly upload to YouTube, Facebook and Twitter. Also, the interface of the PC version completely overhauled.
